laura ingalls wilder
Laura Ingalls Wilder was born on Febuary 7 1867. The most special thing about her was that she was an American Author. She wrote a variety of historical fiction books for children. this was all based on her experience living as a pioneer. The most known book was the little house on the prairie books. I remember those shows and I loved them, they were so cute. She was born in a place called pepin wisconsin. She spent most of her life in a log cabin as did most pioneers. Her mom and Dads names were CHarles Philip Ingalls and Carloline Lake Ingalls. Her parents had five children and Laura was the second of the five. Laura started her teaching career at 15 years old. I think thats sort of young. She ended that in 1885. This is because she married Almanzo. SHE then moved in with him and proved to him that farming was a very good way to make a living. Then she became pregnant and gave birth to her daughter Rose WIlder lane who also became an author. Then Later she gave birth to a son who sadly died in 1889. Her husband became ill. and that was very hard for Laura for that left them in debt. But she was a good author some of the books she wrote were: little house in the big woods, farmer boy, little house on the prarie, On the banks of plum creek, old town in the green groves, etc. I thought she is a good author. BUt I definitley would not get married that young.
